ANNOUNCEMENT: We Have A Discord!

Yep, you heard it here, folks! We have an official Discord now!

We're hoping this doesn't majorly detract from the activity on the main site here, but rather to provide an additional social outlet for our regulars and friends!

No worries if you can't or aren't willing to join us; we will still put our utmost care into this site (aka my baby). So cheers to a simple annexation to the main course here on Blogger!

You can find the link to the Discord here or on the new widget in the sidebar to the right.

We hope you enjoy your time here just as much! You guys are awesome and we want y'all to have fun and feel like you belong. Thanks for being with us!

Here are the rules for the Discord written by me as of today:

1. Be kind, respectful, and compassionate to each other. I will not tolerate anyone who feels the need to disrespect, harass, belittle, etc. any other person in or outside this server. I will kick and ban you as I see fit. The most chances you will ever get is three, and then you're out for good. This is supposed to be a fun, amicable server. And please try to support others as well with at least words of encouragement if they're feeling down or upset. Ensure that the people here actually enjoy being here; don't make them feel they don't belong or that they should go away.

2. Keep all posts relevant to their corresponding channels. This is pretty self-explanatory. Look at the channel descriptions or ask me if you're unsure of what conversation goes where. #general is the hub of conversations but there are things that would get annoying to keep in there, so refer to the other chats for more niche conversation. Please please please keep spam in #spam and all miscellaneous commands in there or #bots. Do not annoy everyone by letting that leak into other channels unnecessarily. Also, try to keep any and all personal talk in #feelings_and_venting. This mainly means drama and frustrations about other people. It is okay to express your feelings in other channels, but please try to stick to this channel for, well, feelings and venting.

3. Do not post NSFW content. This one also goes without saying. By NSFW, use common sense and don't post content that you would not want to be seen viewing in public. This includes sexually provocative/explicit or overly gorey/violent images or text. You'll get passes if it's nothing too exposing or problematic.

4. Please ask one of the staff before adding anyone. To ensure security, please refer to any of the staff on this server before adding people. This includes other people, bots, and even alternate accounts. You will be kicked and soon banned if you add anyone here without our permission that causes excessive disruption in the server and/or community. All additions to this server must be unanimous to ensure that everyone is happy. Moderators, please refer to the higher-ups before assigning the "Members" role to anyone. This role gives people full permission to be a part of this server and community.

5. Moderators and Admins, do not abuse your power and treat everyone fairly. It should come as no surprise that we want to exercise fair authority here. If we hear of and witness those in positions of authority abusing their power, they will be first demoted, then kicked, and eventually banned if the problem persists for too long. The 'treat everyone fairly' motto goes for everyone in this server, too. Do not treat anyone in this server (or for matter of fact, anyone at all) lower than yourself.

6. Don't spam, inappropriately advertise, or otherwise cause annoyance or disruption. Spam goes in #spam or #bots, advertisements must be approved by higher-ups to be posted in #bulletin-board, and being a nuisance is just intolerable. It's simple, and we hope you follow this to the best of your ability or else we might have to take severe measures. This goes for both text and voice channels.

7. Everyone's opinion is valid! Please respect that. Best pony, music, religion, politics, whatever. This is an open discussion for all and we ask you treat that with civility and maturity. We're not responsible if you get offended by someone else's opinion. I'm sorry but that's how things work and if you can't accept that, then there's the door. We can't be a safe space for everyone.

8. Obey channel-specific rules. Each channel has a description explaining its purpose, and some have rules specific to those channels. Please refer to those for further help.

9. Have fun! This is a server for everyone to enjoy themselves. Please follow the rules above, but above all, enjoy yourselves! These rules are just here to regulate anything that goes on here, but we wouldn't be a successful server without all of you actually talking and having a good time! Come on and converse and bond with one another. We want the best for you and this server. Take utmost care, and see you there!
